Heather Holmes is a Lowcountry writer, poet, and children's book author near Charleston, SC. She writes poetry, nonfiction, and picture books, self-published via her own imprint, Cross the Teas, which offers freelance services.
She is a skilled web designer, storyteller, and "SEO wizard" with a long history in digital marketing and publishing that began in 1997--when she was just a kid learning HTML. A true jack-of-all-trades, she is also an experienced tarot reader!
Her mission is to raise support for neurodivergence, chronic illness and disability, and trauma recovery and to promote the welfare of women and children. Her latest release is a self-help book for kids, Wings for Your Heart: A Healing Journey, featuring affirmations for survivors of childhood trauma.
Ms. Holmes has an English degree from the College of Charleston and is finishing a Master's in Digital Marketing. She founded Tidal Lantern, which spotlights artists and writers from the South Carolina Lowcountry.
She lives with her two grown sons, an ancient black cat, a three-legged great dane, a tarantula, and seven fish tanks. When she isn't arguing with sloppy HTML and PDF editors, she enjoys playing video games and gardening.
